Just as we feared that winter would pass without a single snowfall, we got snow twice in one week! On Tuesday, it snowed in the morning and was gone before the school day ended. The next day it was 65 degrees! Thursday morning brought anticipation of more winter weather on Friday; schools began announcing closures as early as 3:00 pm the day prior to the expected snow. When we woke this morning? Nada! Zip! Zilch! By afternoon, though, everything was white–enough snow for a great snowball fight and a snowman bigger than Phoenix! I love snow!

My Valentine and Me
12 02 2008Phoenix asked me to go to the Mother-Son/ Father-Daughter Valentine’s Day Dance at his school. Then he asked me to buy a dress! We danced a little. Dinner was catered, but they ran out of food by the time we got to it, so they brought in Little Caesar’s pizza. On the way home, Phoenix said he didn’t have quite enough fun, so we stopped at Chuck E. Cheese for a couple of games! What a blast!!! We had a great time, and boy did he look handsome! I love my Valentine!

My Cousins and Me
1 07 2007Some of us, anyway; there are 10 of us. From left to right, we are Gene, Paul, Gwen, and Julia. Joann was there, too, and we should have taken a photo while she was! I think this was the first time one grandkid from each of my grandparent’s kids were all in the same place at the same time since 1993. This photo was taken in front of the house that Grandpa built. I love Grandma’s house!
